Abstract
User-centric rendering for handheld augmented reality (M)Status: Abgeschlossen
Overview
Handheld augmented reality applications are getting popular in our daily life. In a typical scenario, the user holds a mobile device towards a target object to see virtual augmentations. However, as the virtual content is created from the viewpoint of the mobile camera, it feels of holding a display rather than truly seeing through a virtual window frame.
In this project, we propose to overcome this problem by adapting both the camera view and the rendered virtual content to match the user’s viewpoint, and we will design prototypes for real scenario application.
