Smart Playing Card (S)

Status: Abgeschlossen

Within the scope of different student projects, we have already been experimenting with RFID-based augmentations for the different games of playing cards, e. g., whist or scat. The goal of this project is to develop an application on top of the existing RFID infrastructure to allow some (or even every) single playing card to detect and recall different game situations, the cards it has been played with and other game-related information.

The existing infrastructure allows development of applications based on the RFID technology. Such an application can then obtain pre-processed information from the multiple involved RFID readers and can also define different states to be notified about as soon as they occur.

During this work, following issues will be addressed: getting into the existing RFID infrastructure, set up the requirements for and amount of the kept information, development of an application for information storage and communication with single cards.
