Smart Toys Development (P)

Status: Abgeschlossen

“Smart Toys” are toys or play figures with integrated computing and sensing technology such acceleration sensors and RFID technology that aim at improving the entertainment and learning experiences of children.

We are currently looking for 1-2 electrical engineering or computer science students who are going to implement a couple of prototypes for us. Some preliminary work has already been done and the work tasks are rather well specified.

Besides having fun in constructing and (low-level) programming, you have a basic understanding of electrical engineering as well as experience with Java and/or C. Further knowledge in the areas of Bluetooth, RFID, etc is advantageous but not mandatory.

We offer: Opportunities to learn about and experiment with new technologies such as RFID, Zigbee or sensors. Becoming a member of a research project together with two research assistants and a team of fellow students. You’ll have your own work space and computer in our research lab.
